Coffee from the future.

Earlier today I was in the library at the university and as I was heading to the bathrooms and turned the corner I saw this.  With a touch of a button it grinds coffee beans and pours you a shot of espresso or makes you an americano.  I’m assuming that while it grinds the beans, a tiny pole drops down and a miniature person comes out and does a dance for you on that stage while you wait.  I can’t see what else would explain the need for the bright flashing neon pink light (which cycles through blue and green as well).  Either that or they are just really enthusiastic about their do-it-yourself espresso machine.  Libraries have changed so much since I was in school!  So much for those quiet signs.

Wo! That machine looks REALLY cool! At a library, seriously? That would wake me up.

I know! Such a step up from those nasty “cappuccino” dispensers of the 90’s in gas stations and rest areas that are really just a powdered coffee drink mixed with hot water.

I know! I totally want one! Our library would have been so much more fun with one of those in it.
